Master Key Experience Week 2 – “Tough Week”

Week 2 of the Master Key Experience was off to a GREAT start! I found myself getting a jump start on the upcoming week. I spent Saturday getting organized, making a schedule for the week to come and really getting excited about putting the right foot foreword for once! (Again, for those of you who know me, I think we can all agree this doesn’t come natural for me lol). The following day and Monday we pretty normal. Just when I thought I was getting in a rhythm, Tuesday morning rolled around….

It was a little after 11 am and I had just finished up a sales meeting when I got a call that I knew rapidly approaching but wasn’t looking forward to. My childhood dog and longtime family pet was on her last leg. She had been acting strange all morning and was on her way to the vet. After what seemed life weeks, we finally got the outcome and it wasn’t good. After blood work, an x ray and a few tests, they determined she was full of cancer and was in tremendous pain. For those of you who have pets and love them as much as I do, you know at that point there is only one thing you can do for your furry friend but it certainly isn’t easy. This was the first time I have ever had to go through that with a pet and as much as you think you are prepared to handle it, you will never be ready for it!

As I push through into the weekend, I force myself to think of the positive and always remember the happy thoughts. When it comes to pets, we are around for their whole life but they are only there for a part of ours. We always have to make the most of ever minute in life!

Until next time….

Rest easy girl! You will be missed!

  1. I feel your pain, Brandon. Do yourself and everyone you know a favor. Google Ty Bollinger’s, “THE TRUTH ABOUT PET CANCER.”
